Morganton:
We are
bringing back a classic. The Morganton Cycling Classic was a staple in the
NC cycling community for years. Event promoter, Zach Lail, moved
away and the event went into hibernation for a few years. Now that
Zach is back in the area, he has banded together with Charlotte Sports
Cycling and Sledge Hammer Charlie's Cycling Team to bring back the event
and make it a part of the 8th Annual Crossroads Classic.
Morganton has vibrant downtown filled with great restaurants, galleries, a
movie theatre, and cozy parks. The race course will travel around
the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Morganton. For visitors
information on the area, check out the
Burke County Travel and Tourism website.

Directions:
Travel
I-40 to Exit #105, HWY 18/Downtown Morganton. Take HWY 18/S Sterling St
North into Downtown Morganton.

Registration: Registration
will be located near the start/finish line. Registration will open
at 8:00AM and close 30 minutes prior to each race. |
|
Course:
A classic southeast course .9 of a mile in length. The course is "L"
shaped route featuring 6 corners, a fast downhill section, a small short
climb and a wide, fast, false flat finish all on excellent roads. |

Parking
The best place to park is between E Union St and E Concord St on the east
side of the race course. The best street to access the parking is
Bouchelle St.
